Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi dear friends,

When i use the def below with python component...

...the projections of the blades (on xy plane) are not oriented in the same direction and same side (red curves).

How to modify this script to obtain curves oriented like the green result?

I try to solve it with the def « Proj_Blades.gh » ...

..but the blade number 24 is inverted ...

because the orientation of the plane n°24 is inverted...

How can i solve it?

Have you an idea?

Hi.

iI suppose your blade section curves are not consistent in direction.

Simple way to fix this is to flip and extract 24th blade boundary curve and adjust curve seam position, and

recreate blade surface.

hi Kim,

thank you for your answer.

But this method is laborious if i have many curves to modify one by one...

I have simillar def. of rib fabrication for open brep(case sensitive, of course...) no scripting, using native gh component except "Fabtool" plug-in's "Engrave Text"component.

I can share if you want.

Yes with pleasure .i am really interested in your proposal

really nice for sharing.

Personally i cut the object with radial curves like this:

with this def...

Hi Kim,

i have made some modifications and your def work great with this type of surfaces.

I'm really grateful for your help.

I'm a bit late, btw...

This chain of blocks "correct" the plane that is out of the "chorus".

(its surface is indeed flipped)

Bye :D
