Hi everyone ,I want to connect firefly with i pad by [touch osc] ,but the component OSClistener did not show any date when I changed slider in i pad.

I used (https://www.whatismyip.com/) to find my computer IP ,then set up the same number of port(outgoing) with firefly.

I have no idea what’s going on,plese help me. thanks~

It's been awhile since I've used TouchOSC + Firefly, but I seem to recall that both devices need to be connected to the same (wireless or wired) network.  Are they connected to the same network?

Also, the GHowl plug-in has a component that will report whether you're connected to a network and what your IP address is so you can stay in grasshopper the whole time!

Thanks a lot!

I can receive the date from i pad now,but I wonder that could I send the date back to i pad with touchOSC?

You can send OSC messages to any IP in the same subnet and any physical IP in the world -- as long as the message can pass through.

In your case, the IP you got from www.whatismyip.com is your broadband router's external IP (分享器), not your computer's IP (it should look like 192.168.0.xxx).

Here's a quick tutorial to find your "real" IP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6Eyj8pjrNU

Thanks for your help! It is working now.
