algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi there,
I am trying to generate a layout for my MArch Architecture project using space programming and such as Marc Syp has shown in his video:
Fortunately Jesse has come up with the following:

I have worked with Jesse's definition (huge help as i'm relatively new to GH) and so far so good. I have added my own attractors and connected up the spaces as required. Currently Jesses's definition uses the areas in my excel spreadsheet to generate spheres. What I would like to do is use rectangular volumes that do not overlap with each other. I could set a fixed height to all volume and so hopefully this will generate more defined floor plans/layouts on multiple levels.
Also, is there another way to demonstrate the text better so that this can be more readable when I present it at uni?
I have attached all the files I have been using if its any help to explain what I mean!
Any help will be massively appreciated!
Thanks
Marc

Hello again.
Right, i have managed to produce boxes that are to the desired floor area and height. What i would like to do but cant find the best way is to have these boxes site incrementally so the sit on a floor level once i run the kangaroo plugin.
I also would still like to know how i could prevent these boxes from overlapping?
I have reattached my up to date working files. Any ideas would be a great help!
Thanks
Marc
Hello,
I am working on my M Arch studio project using space programming for layout and I have a doubt ? Based on what logic these spheres are associated with each others ? I mean are they associated with each other on basis of proximity length or any specific interrelation like travel time?
AND ,
also could you explain how do u calculate the restlength for the whole layout when it should be the addition of radius of adjacent circles ?
Thanks
Sneha
