Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all, I am attempting learn a little more about data structure's and utilising them for the 'Mesh Quad' and 'Construct Mesh' components.

My definition is currently just simple lofted cells sized according to surface curvature. I am trying to achieve the same result using only quad mesh's? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi.

I added two parts.(in white goups) First, like you said , you are going to use curvature value, so I changed remaping part of the definition by using mean curvature value.

Second part is quad mesh generation and It's rather easy because your polysurface is based on quad.

You can generate quad mesh from scratch using point order(in this case, polyline vertex order) or directly convert your final brep to mesh.

Fantastic, I didn't even know about the 'simple mesh' I was always just plugging a surface into a mesh component, Thank-you Hyungsoo!

thank you, This was a useful tutorial for me on mesh construction.

Some really great Info on mesh's in modelabs grasshopper primer btw!

I learn a lot by reading & applying your definitions. Thank you for sharing & organizing them so well.
