algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys.

I want to create a twisting tower like the image I uploaded (I don't know the proper name for it), It's kind of a tower that has waves on it which they rise from the ground and go up and not in an exact way, I searched but I just found definitions for simple parametric towers like the ones that rotate in one direction, Do you have any idea how can I create this ? Any tips would be appreciated .

Thank you

Hah, hah.  That's a very different result, eh?  Instead of the long, top to bottom loft sections you will end up with a twisted checkerboard of surfaces?  Sorry, not that interested.  Good luck.

Oh ok , thanks

It's easy (if rather brutal) to just copy/paste to get the lines and surfaces twisted in the opposite direction.  But then what?  How do you get their intersections and make diamond shaped curved surfaces between them?

Yeah I did that actually. I copied the definition and faced the intersections problem. That's why I asked you my question because I didn't know is it possible to have both opposite directions on one surface or not, because this way it's two surfaces .

Looks like you duplicated far more code than necessary unless you want the opposite direction to have completely different parameter values (more than just rotation direction)?

I fixed it

You got one surface in each diamond space between the crossed spirals?  How?  Please post your code?

yeah sure

You still have only one set of top to bottom lofted surfaces, rotated in one direction.  Your spiral lines rotated in the opposite direction don't touch these surfaces, though that fact is hidden by the pipes.

Sorry, no cigar.

If I understand this subject correctly, intersections of curves requires U&V intersection information what must be common to both clockwise and anticlockwise sets of curves.
This is paramount if you indent to construct a 3 or 4 sided panel. (glass dose not bend :)) Try the Lunchbox plugin, I believe it has resolved panel construction.
