algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi
I dont know why, but I have an invalid loft when I am trying to loft, thus bake is impossible . Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Its rather urgent, thus any kind of help/ advice etc. would be welcome :) Thank you
If you publish the definition without the use of plugins or third party components, I could try to help.
Oh, I forgot to mention there are also zero length segments in there. Also, it's not clear which curves you want to join before using the extrude or loft component.
Do you guy know why grasshopper won't take my lofted surface as a surface. It takes it as a geometry but when I try to map a component to a surface it doesn't work?
Hi Frantz, without your files we can only guess of coarse, but my guess would be that your loft resulted in a polysurface/brep, because of kinks in the curves you lofted. (You don't have duplicate curves or zero length segments in there right?) I'm afraid you can't map a component to a surface.
Is there any way to remove the duplicates and solve the length error. I presume that the reason why it occurred is the use of different variations of lengths, thus resulting an unpredictable length of segment created after 2D truss of lunchbox?
But since I don't know other method how to create a truss, lunchbox is my only option at the moment.
Yes there are several methods to do this, but I'm going to refer to the searchbox on the right of the page for those. I'm 100% sure you'll find your answers!
I didn't check but these answers belong in the FAQ section.
Ok, somehow I solved it, don't particularly understand how, but trying out it works. For the next step would you happen to know a method to create pipes between the extruded elements like in the image. Or at least do i do it before orienting or after with deconstruct breps? However deconstructing everything, will result in a huge set of points, thus making almost impossible to understand what to do next..
Here is how I solved everything, allthough I presume there would be a less time consuming method, but I couldn't figure out anything else
Hm, your definition is way too intimidating for my taste, I Hope someone else can help you!
A bit more truthful: your definition looks really waaay over-engineered and therefore messy - to me. It will take me more time than I am willing to spend on this to reorganise/rebuild it, which is my excuse for not doing that. Maybe now you've come to this stage and have more 'feeling' of the involved steps, you can now see for yourself what steps can be eliminated, combined or simplified. Maybe someone else is willing to help you.
No problem , I understand. I do agree that my definition is messy, and maybe too long, and possibly lacking a certain logic. But with my lack of experience in grasshopper, I could only do it this way. Thus I do not see any way to simplify for the time being.
Thank you for your answer however, have a nice day
