Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello

I am quite new on the topic and Karamba, so my question may be silly.. anyway.

I have a hollow circular section beam fixed at both ends and I simply want to apply a thermal load to its section as in the picture.

I tried to do it in Karamba but I see nothing.

What do I do wrong??

Thank you all!

Hello Valentina,

the temperature load in Karamba 1.1.0 is uniform over the cross section height. In oder to see a deformation in your example one support in the axial beam direction needs to be removed (see attached definition).

The cross section object you created was fed into the input-plug for the element identifier of the temperature load. Therfore the load component was not applied to the element.

Best,

Clemens
