Spend some time with TSplines for similar things (especially if they have "thickness").

Anything is possible ... but the question is kinda like "how to cross Atlantic?" (options: swimming, boat, submarine, walking, flying, stay at home).

Too many ways to list them here, but the bottom line is that I would strongly advise flying (cheaper, safer, faster).
