Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I'm new to Grasshopper, currently working on some facade panelization, something simple. I hit a roadblock and haven't been able to solve it by looking online. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Here's the problem:

When using the isotrim function in GH to split a surface, I get that a non-orthogonal surface is divided evenly, as you would expect (see fisrt jpg). Now, if I wanted to split the surface parallel to one of the edges (and not evenly), how would you do that? Preferably, I'd like to use a predetermined dimension and have a leftover piece on top (see second jpg).

I'm sorry if this a dumb question. Again, I haven't found the answer in the forums. Thanks!!!

Hi.

Slightly heavy solution, though, this is one of the available alternatives.

Hyungsoo,

Got the definition and will try it right away. From the jpg it seems to be a good solution. Thanks a lot!
