algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm attempting to run an annual daylight simulation in honeybee and the run daylight simulation component is producing the following error "runtime error 'nonetype' object is unsubscriptable". Anyone know what may be causing this? I've attached an image of the component with the error, and here is a link to the GH file (too large to upload). Thank you!

Hi Jenn,

If you update the components to the latest version it will work fine. The error was for checking properties of TransMaterial. Check the attached file.

A couple of comments about what you're trying to do:

  1. Your file is very heavy. If you're importing it from other tools such as REVIT then you may want to use "rebuild" to rebuild the surfaces.
  2. You need to connect a weather file to AnnualRecipe and not the sky
  3. I see that you're trying to use BSDF materials. Honeybee uses Daysim under the hood for annual analysis which is not capable of modeling BSDF materials. You should either run a grid-based analysis for a day or use 3Phase method with Radiance which is not currently possible in Honeybee. The only interface that I know of that has 3 phase method integrated is OpenStudio. Since it's designed to generate the schedule for energy simulation you will still need to do most of the post-processing yourself.

Thanks for the response. 

It was all built in rhino except for the furniture (I think this is what is causing it to be heavy -- I will rebuild that). I see... I thought the 3Phase method was already integrated into honeybee. Is this something you and the other developers are working on? Thanks for your help!

It has been on the list for a long time. I created a prototype for proof of concept while ago but that's all we have for now which is very far from being used by public. So the short answer is yes but it will take some time to get it ready.
