algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi All,
This should be a fairly simple problem but I'm a bit stuck to make it into a parametric workflow.
I have 6 families of hexagonal components which correspond to 6 'zones' (colored). how can I acheive a grid that relates to the zone, placing each opening size (Parameter 'FACTOR') to have variation in opening within the 6 different types.
Your feedback is very much appreciated.
Chap.

Hi FRiou,
That's great.. I learnt a big deal. theres a new problem. Say we have 2 bounding curves with the same region color. What then? Pelase see attached
Ok, here is how I solved this.
First you need to put your curves in a data tree where each branch corresponds to a zone. Then you take your frame values for each zone and duplicate the data to match the number of curves in each branch.
Then you flatten both trees to use them like in the first method.
Friou,
How about a new challenge? What if a gradient of openings with controls seperate for each zone, in relation to an attractor curve?
My attempt attached. didnt really workl :(
Chap.
Attached gradient files...
