Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to freeze a Kangaroo simulation while is running so that the output geometry can be utilized in the willed state.

Thank you

A specific example would help.

There are also Kangaroo versus Kangaroo2 which have different behavior.

Kangaroo normally needs a timer but you can also make it run a fixed number of iterations by feeding the Kangaroo Sequence/Frames component into the Kangaroo Reset input, though I've only ever used this for its MeshMachine utility.

Ah, your script is shown here:

I'm only on iPhone right now, so it'll have to wait.

Since your are using a timer, I recall just right clicking to stop the timer by disabling it, then the output remains.

Here I see Kangaroo being used with little remote control interface I hadn't been aware of:

INITMSTINM = "it's not in the manual since there is no manual":

You just double click the Kangaroo1 component to bring up the old school tape recorder control! I had no idea.

Kangaroo2 has no such secret Easter egg, alas.

Hey Nik, thanks very much for your help.
I have tried with the kangaroo bar (obtained with the double clicking ad you suggested me) but it seems it is not able to completely freeze the simulation, it slows down the simulations but not totally.
Anyway I will try now with Kangaroo Sequence/Frames!
Thanks
