Short Slits

I'm trying to use the BBSection Component but it is not creating slits that are 50% of the width of my input mesh.

Am I doing something wrong?

I tried moving the geometry, moving the planes and using Plane Through Shape component but I still only get small slits in the sections instead of slits that go halfway through the shape.
