Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi!

I am trying to split a curve into different curve segments by specific points.

I know how to divide a curve into segments, but not with given points.

I tried using shatter, but that only is working with one point.

I tried to sketch it, what I want is different curves splitte/cut at the points.

I attached my files, the part of the script with the curves is by the yellow note!

Thanks in advance!

Shatter is the correct component to use. You just have to make sure all the shatter parameters are provided as a single list of numbers.

Two ways - Shatter or Subcurve:

Thanks a lot!

It is working now, Thanks again for your help!

wtat's the name of this component? "Crv CP"

'Curve Closest Point'

Having a simple but frustrating issue here. Point on curve + shatter does not split my curve. Sometimes it does, but at the flipped value of my specified point. This issue also occurs with subcrv. Flipping in Rhino or Gh doesn't solve it.

Reparameterize your curve in the Shatter and don't use Point on Curve as the parameter input. Try a panel or a slider.

Thank you. Your advice worked.

thank you

Hi, guys I have the same problem, I just can not split the curve, I used your advice above but it doesnt work. Iam using certain points (calculated from discontuinity )  to split curve, but segments are more than it should be and curve is not divided on accurate place,

any help??? thanks !

Hi Martin, I think this is a data matching issue, try flattening the t input of the shatter component.
