algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello to everyone,

Does anyone know if it is possible with Grasshoper to change the grid size gradually. For example I would like to start with 0,1  m cells and end up with 1,0 m cells .

Yes it is.

do you have a sketch or a definition to start with?

is it a 2d grid or 3d? should it change gradually along the x axis? y? z? alltogether?

This is essentially a subdivision scheme. You start out with big squares/rectangles, and then divide it into smaller ones depending on some function. You'll even want separate division counts for X and Y.

I attached a file that shows how to divide a bunch of rectangles into separate X and Y cells using point attractors.

Well ... if you pretend that this is a "component" it could cut the mustard, he he.

Notify if you want non linear grid value mods (like logarithmic, random etc etc)

Get the correct one (but as David said ... you may not be after a var grid after all, he he).
