algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I hope this is an easy fix. The offset component no longer seems to respect curve direction. Whether I flip the curves in rhino or in GH, the offset is always to the same side. any ideas?

v.8.0001 by the way.
Send a negative value to the offset. Use a gate toggle to flip if you use a neg or pos number. I typically add these components before an offset. Of course, this becomes less useful if you are offsetting lots of curves and some are offsetting in the "right" direction and some are not. Then you need to figure out a rule for the offset (e.g. If the offset curve has a longer length than the source curve, offset in the opposite direction).

Do you say with a f(x) component?

If it is so, how would you write the expression?

(I´m new in this, thanks for everything)

Paloma

Here's one way.

I just noticed that if you change the slider type for the toggle to 'Odd numbers' it will be a true toggle without stopping on '0'.

Chris

thanks!!

Hi Paloma,

It turns out that there is a component called a 'Boolean Toggle' in the Params>Special menu.  I wasn't aware of that.  It's in the upper left hand corner.

Chris

at first I was a little irked with this change, but now it is much more reliable, atleast in the definitions i use it in.
