algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all the Grasshopper expert,
So basically the idea is to create the Joint connection instead of the flat surface connection that touch using glue. I have use this method several times, but for this one, the surface is not flat, it was a ramp, and also a curve. And the object is the facade of my building. I can manually create it but it will take very long time, i feel the grasshoper script will be helpful a lot. Basically here is the logic, (see picture so it will easier to understand). I attach the Rhino files to so you can try. This is the Example of what I want
this is where the Joint Located, so It can hold the shape of the facade.
Here is the model, Please download it.
Here the Surface is not flat, and Curve thats make it hard
Here the example of what i want, i made it for other project, but my other project is flat and not that much compare to his o,
PLEASE HELP!!
I know what I ask might be possible since the logic is make sense, but I dont really good in grasshopper so i couldnt make the script of it. PLEASE and PLEASE i really NEED YOUR HELP. I really BEG you so you can help me. This is for my final project, and I have to create the Physical Model, without this method my model couldnt be stand. Thank you for your time to read especially try to helo!l

I´m busy with to make joint with a simple curve to laser cut ...it is not finished the definition yet...it is working for a line simple but not for a complex one...
I did something similar recently:
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/greek-fret-snap-fit-plexi...
cool
The difference is by even and odd number of divisions (where divisions are the total of teethes + spaces/horizontal lines).
Even quantity > start with teeth and end with space (or vice versa, you choose by script)
Odd quantity > start and end with the same type, teeth or space
I did some more work after that definition I posted.... But still i leaved back the vertexes... too hard to find which face to choose when adjacent to like 10 faces with different angles...
It's on a usb somewhere... I'll search now...
Yess it is working
thanx Ricardo
Take a look in these crazy DNA/RNA joint´s
