Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am having difficulty setting the material thickness with Grasshopper, the JPG shows that the script made the thickness 0.006 even though I set it to 0.125" (1/8th Inch) in the script. Could someone check the files and let me know how to change it?

I will be lasercutting this out on 1/8th inch MDF for a test model.

I have attached the rhino file, in size of physical model and the Grasshopper Script.

PLEASE I'm really struggling to find the problem

Thanks! If you have any questions let me know, I have my final in two weeks, I gave up on the gridshell method, this will work too.

hello Matthew,

When measuring the thickness from your rhino file I get 0,004 inches which seems to be the result of the divide (function x/y) component where you have plugged the 2 [material thickness] sliders (0.125/32=0.0039). I don't know why you need the [divide] component there, maybe you plugged the wrong inputs in it?...

Changing that to 1/8th worked very well. Thanks! I got some sleep, hopefully I can cut this today then upload some photos of it.

Structure A/B: The distance between each waffle line.

What is aperature A/B?

What is tab A/B Surface used for? To project the flattened geometry?

thanks so much.

Hello my friend,

I have make a cutfile with this script, but it does not place the text, do you know how to activate it? I tried to bake the structure A in the front but the bake is empty.

Thnks
