Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

New to grasshopper and I am struggling with trying to extrude some objects along a curved surface that are normal to the curve.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Justin,

Is this what you are after?

Hi Nikos,

Thanks again!

I believe the line in the middle is because the hexagonal cells are not planar. So cap holes ex can't close the breps with a single planar surface.

A simple (and clumsy) way to planarize them could be the following:

For better results you should work with kangaroo plugin (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/page/search-results?cx=007664031582976...)

Hi Nikos,

Excellent!  Thanks for the response.  I will take a look into kangaroo.  Have a great weekend.
