Gate Switch that streams Data depending on Boolean State

Hello Everyone,

I have a question about Firefly. I installed it and made up a definition in Grasshopper and everything works fine there. But when I try to generate Code it says that one part of my Grasshopper file can't be translatet (in the picture - Solution 1, 2, 3). I tried different ways of solving that problem - but it is always the same.

What it should do is - if there is a boolean toggle = false it should not stream data - if the toggle is true it should stream data.

Does anyone know a way how to acomplish that and still be able to generate arduino code?

Hi Tom,

Right now, my guess is that the Firefly Code Generator does not have an internal function for the Stream Gate or Cull components. It's probably possible for me to write a function which will perform the same functionality of the Stream Gate function, but I will need to look into it more. Your best bet to get the equivalent code would be to write the arduino code yourself (which may or may not be difficult given your level of programming experience). May I ask why you need the code to be generated? Does your device absolutely need to be unplugged from your computer (which would probably be the only reason this was necessary).

Hi !

I would be really glad if CODE GENERATOR will work with Cull function.
My example is really simillar to Toms example. Like you said I would like to make my project offline.

I would like to switch the function of the potentiometer (with the external switch), between Dimming LED and something like random flashing with regulation of time.

I am sending my gh file, maybe it is other solution to resolve this switch problem.
