Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys. I have a simple surface and 16 different tiles. This 16 tiles make a column. I'd like tu put this column in the 11 columns into the surface. I made the surface, I made the grid(16x11) but I don't know how put the different tiles in this surface.
I attached the rhino and gh files.

Thanks

Thank you man! I have another question for you. I'd like to put other tiles, 16 different tiles, but in the rows like a chess grid.

Thanks

Are u sure they have to be 16 and not 11 in this case?

in any case I didn't get it. Can u sketch it in 2d?

Yes, they have to be 16. I send you my idea.

thanks

Ok, I didn't find a more "elegant" solution, but I think it's working...

It works. Thank you. I changed the shape and I have other tiles. I'll attach it here.

I saw your profile. Are you italian?

Hi!

There is another way to insert all the different tiles into grasshopper? Because now I have 70 different tiles...

You don't have to use one [geometry] component for each tile.

You can reference all of the tiles in one:

Ok but I need every tiles in a different cell..

If you reference all the tiles in one container and then graft your list you will have the exact same data tree as before:

It's cool. Thank you!

That was just an idea. I'd like to learn grasshopper, I have another huge idea.

For example.. All 71 tiles makes a column. I'd like to put this column into a surface BUT I'd like to put it every other column.

for placing the tiles in every second column you would just have to use User's first definition but with [cull pattern] on the columns:
