Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

Are there anyway you can ” ApplyCrv” within Grasshopper? I need to create UV curves on a surface in Grasshopper! I can’t seem to find that option anywhere!

Thanks

hmm... I've written a VB that does an applyCrv function but can't seem to find it. You could try:

Make sure original cuves have a degree of at least 2, create a bBox making sure that at least one object in the set is above the rest (so that the bBox isn't flat - could be a point, etc.) Use SrfMorph and set the domain of all U,V,W as 0 to 1.

Hi Dirk

Thank you so much for this information! It helped me a lot ;) I really appreciate that you are taking your time to answer my questions! Thanks

While I’m at… ;) is it also possible to do ”ArrayCrvOnSrf” and ”OffsetCrvOnSrf” in grasshopper? What I’m trying to do it to give these curves I now have on the surface a thickness. I have tried using the "Pipe" (Create a pipe surface around a rail curve), that worked ok, but would like to use a flat surface/stripe instead of a pipe. Furthermore it also doesn’t turn to follow the surface, that’s why I thought ”ArrayCrvOnSrf” or ”OffsetCrvOnSrf” might be useful?

Thanks
