algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am trying to model a simple beam scenario where a beam clamped on two sides has a hinge in the middle. I modeled this after the Karamba Shear Hinge definition, as two beams with a free vertex each (clamped), and a common one (hinge).
However, I cannot seem to figure out the proper connectivity for the hinge. One beam ends up getting both it's edges as a hinge.

Can anybody share their experience with modeling hinges?

Attached is the file, adapted from the Karamba Shear Hinge definition, for reference

Thanks.

Hello Yannis,

I tried out your definition with Karamba 1.0.5, replaced the 'Hinge' and the the 'AssembleModel'-component with those from version 1.0.5 and now it works.

For backward compatibility Karamba contains some old versions of its components. The deprecated 'AssembleModel'-component used in your definition contains a bug as it seems. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best,

Clemens
