Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys.

I'm new in grasshopper world and i need your help.

My doubt is. It's possible put the quadtree in all ''L'' shape, and keep the division in squares, because i try but the squares changes to rectangles.

Can you help me?

You’ll need some adjustment. (plus kangaroo+weaverbird plugin)

I do not know how to thank, a big thank you.

just a question, there is a chance to get the divisions square and not rectangular? or is due to not having the extra plugins that are rectangular.

thank a lot for your help

i install the kangaroo and de weaverbird but when i open  the file grasshopper says the software is missing

Here is my definition image.

You can probably find another way to divide L-shape without using mesh refinement.

Is working perfectly, had installed the old plugins.

Installed the correct and everything works perfectly.

A big thank You

Greetings

hi

can only say what to do or understand what is happening.

in definition works perfectly in a L shape of 15x60. I would like to understand why when I step to a different form and increase the values, it does not fit into this new form.

I send the file of this new form if can help me.

My def. was never intended to be the panacea. You should generate grid of points fit with your "L" shape.

Easiest way is to generate planar surface and  using divide surface component which is somewhat inaccurate.

And quadtree grid is generated from the group of points(4 or 5) inside of the L-shape, so they are not always fit with your L-shape.
