Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear Grasshopper enthusiasts,

I am trying to duplicate a set of curves. As the screenshot and the attached files show, the duplication process works for the inner curves but doesn’t work for the outermost curve, when distance is 0.9 or higher. Can somebody please help me understand the situation ?

Thank you

Bogdan

You are actually looking to Offset them not Duplicate them. GH has some flaws with its current Offsetting routines and you can try and circumvent these by using a third-party plugin such as Bower Bird which makes use of the Clipper Library.

Thank you Danny. Unfortunatelly for me, this solution is not enough.

Many times the offset fails by the composition of the curve. In this case, if you simplify with Reduce component the outside curve, it works.

Thank you Daniel. I am actually trying to create an "echo"of the curve. Your solution works with one copy but that’s about it.
