algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi Kim, I am using Windows 7, but maybe this link helps you solve the problem: https://support.pix4d.com/entries/31058107-Error-There-is-a-problem....

Hello Louis,
is there an error message in the Rhino text window when you start Grasshopper?
When using Karamba 1.0.5 you do not have to change the installation directory on installation.
Make sure that there are no old Karamba version lying around on your harddisk. First try to uninstall Karmaba using 'SystemSettings/...' from the Windows start menu. Then search the harddisk for occurrences of 'karamba.dll', 'libiomp5md.dll' or 'karamba.gha' and delete them.
Make also sure that your Rhino really uses GH 0.9.0076. You can check this by starting Rhino and displaying the properties of the Grasshopper plug-in.

Clemens
Hello,
The following error occurs when adding beam joints:
1. Singular Stiffness-matrix: Can not solve static system.
Make sure that boundary conditions are set so that the structure can not move in rigid body modes.
When you analyze a flat shell structure lock the rotation perpendicular to the plate in at least one node.
Use the 'Eigen Modes'-component and activate the display of local coordinate axes: The first eigenmode will be the rigid body motion.
When I disable the beam-joints component it works fine.. What can I do to add the beam joints component?
Rutger
Hello Rutger,
you could use the EigenMode-component to check in which way the model is kinematic. Turn on the display of the local coordinate system in the ModelView-component so that you see the rotation of elements about their longitudinal axis.
Best,
Clemens
Hi All,
I am having problems with supports resulting in an error when analyzing a Cable Stayed Bridge (a 'Singular Stiffness Matrix' on the Analyze component).
The strange thing is that I can get the model working by using different points (the points where the cables connect to the pylon) as the supports, however by using different points the model is obviously wrong.
I have uploaded a annotated file highlighting this area of the model. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks
Ravi
Hi Ravi,
I think your cables are not correctly attached to the pylon. This makes them float around when you remove the surplus supports.
The second thing is, that the supports at the endpoints of the bridge do not constrain all rigid body modes of the structure (it can e.g. Tx, Ty, Ry).
In order to check a structure for rigid body modes you can use the EigenModes component (see attached file).
Best,
Clemens
Hi all. I cant analize my model, return this error mesage:
Will be nice if you could tell me how to fix it. Thank you very much.
Hi,
I'm running Rhino 5 64-bit with Grasshopper 0.9.0076 and Karamba 1.0.5.
When I using LineToBeam, I get the "famous"
"Solution exception:Unable to find an entry point named 'CSharp_new_NKDTree__SWIG_0' in DLL 'karamba'." error.
I have deinstalled Karamba several times, and also made sure that there are no stray versions of karamba.dll and karamba.gha. I have left libiomp5md.dll alone though, since it seems that a couple of other programs are using it as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Thomas
Ha, there was another karamba.dll hidden in C:\Windows\System32 - sneaky!
Now it works :-)
Hi,
When open the 1.1.0 examples, there are unrecognized objects message. But I have installed the latest version.
How to fix it?
Thanks
