Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I've succesfully created a tree of all my items.

When I try to create multiple (2) trees, the data of these 2 merges into one big tree..

How can I create X trees with the same structure?

Thanks

If you are using GH version 0.9.0076 then you can use the Graft facility on the entwine component to maintain previous structure.

The structure is already like this:

So grafting isn't necessary. I'd like to have a tree of all the {0} lists, one of the {1} lists, etc...

I could manually split the lists (Tree Branch, path {0}, {1}, ... etc) and then create a seperate tree out of them, but I can't do that for X lists.. Or can I?

Sorry Danny, I don't get it. Isn't the block you encircled the same as mine in the 2nd picture?

What Danny is suggesting is that you right-click on the center of the entwine component and untick "flatten inputs".

What I am trying to do is this:

I would like to create 3 trees. Each with A/B/C as branches (see doodle bottom right corner). I'd like to have it working to create X trees.

As you can see, this doesnt work with flatten inputs: I get "Voorkant" in the first branch, "Achterkant" in the second and "Punten" in the thrid.

All I can come up with is using [graph mapper]:

you will still need to un-check "Flatten Inputs".

Nikos, your solution is most usefull for me in this case. Thanks! I now have an other problem that I will post under a different topic name. Thanks all for your replies!!

It appears you are not using version 0.9.0076 so this will be unavailable

Hello to have a data tree like the one you hand sketched, you will also need flip matrix.

and the latest version to take advantage of the graft option in entwine component

cheers

alex

edit

if using older version you can partition the tree (easy only because in this case for all branches 3 items are needed

hmm guess a missed the red lines next to panels. so another solution needed.
