algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone,i'm trying to design a parametric wind turbine blade and i am having some problems with the offset surface component, due to the quality of the lofted surface i created i assume. My major issue is that i can not offset the faces that form a section(surface) of the blade, towards the inner side,in contrast i can offset towards the outside direction,i believe that this is because of some discontinuities(loft) of the surface which does not allow the offset work in the direction that i want (maybe because the faces intersect between them in that direction). Firstly does anybody know a way to solve this problem and secondly is there any other components or GH plug-ins which i could use to generate mthe surface of the blade from a group of curves, such as the loft component? I have already used all the components of the surface tab, including network surface which results null, without any satisfying outcomes.
Any help would be appreciated,thanks

Thanks for your reply Tom,i 'll give it a try. When u say join my section curves with g2 continuity, what do u mean.About the continuity of the curves i suppose that you are refering to the curves that i used to create the surface(loft) and not to the curves that i used to create the faces(split surface) of the blade? And is there a component to join curves with a continuity option?
Could you offset the curves and create the two surfaces separately?
I have already tried this method Damon and still the offset curve(and loose) components won't give me a good result when i offset towards the inner direction.
Short of going into Tom's suggestions about g2 continuity, I'd think that the offset points would work. I was thinking creating a grid of points on the surface--number in U and V could control accuracy--and offsetting those, would be quite effective and simple. I have a definition that does this that I could clean up and share with you (tomorrow) if you are interested.
