Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, I'm new to grasshopper so this may be a dumb question so I apologize...

I have curve which influences the height of a field of boxes.

Currently the boxes near the curve are lower and those further away are higher.

I want to achieve the exact opposite - the boxes near the curve will be higher.

what is the best way to achieve this?

Thanks!

I think you need to connect the distance output to the B input (divisor) of the A/B component (division). For start you could just switch places between A and B and take it from there.

so simple...;-)

thanks!

Hello there

another approach would be with the remap values component

with this method you can also have control to the min max extrusion height (since you are remapping the distances, which could be too small or too large in the first place) and also reversing the ''effect'' by setting the start of the target domain higher than the end of it and vice versa.

much more elegant :)

and to get exact opposite values

oops missed the exact part in description

very cool.

thanks!
