algorithmic modeling for Rhino

GH file Drag and Drop not working in Chrome.

Whenever I drag a gh file from the Chrome Browser window to drop on the canvas I get a Panel with the file location.

If I right click the file in the Browser window and select "Show in Folder" and then drag the file from Windows Explorer I get it to work.

 

Has anyone else noticed this?

Or have I got some weird setting ticked for .gh files?

Edit: I should mention that dragging and dropping 3DM files into Rhino works fine

I get the same thing quite frequently Danny. I think my method is pretty messy, but i drag the file onto desktop then into gh from there.

Yeah much messier! Your desktop must be flooded with erroneous files. I recommend the show in folder approach as a work around.

Did it start recently after a GH update or a Chrome update?

Yes - I've noticed the same thing, and it is quite annoying. It definitely used to work just dragging them over, but it seems some Chrome update a few months ago changed that.

I've just noticed today that this is no longer an issue.
