Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I am new in grasshopper and I have been trying to attach a geometry to a vector, I need one geometry made by Rhino attached in a specific position following a straight line and a curve line.please look the image I have attached.
 I really appreciate your help.

Thank you

Angelica

Hi Evert,

Thank you very much I can download the Rhino file but I can't download the grasshopper file, the link is not working could you please attach it again.

Thank you very much
hey Angelica,

you can simply copy all the text you see when you click on the grasshopper link above, then paste it into notepad, next save it as a file with extension .ghx. you can then open it in grasshopper.

buen suerte
Hola Angelica,

Everyone

Thank you very much,

I am using the files you sent me they were very useful, the curves I have built are grasshopper curves and use some functions like sin and cos, I am able to change the frequency, the amplitude and also coordinates in x and y, but it is no variable in z, how I can have this curve movable in x,y and z using grasshopper no rhino?.

The other problem I have is....when I attach a geometry to my grasshopper file some times it turns to the other direction, please find the attached image, which explain the problem better.

I really appreciate your help,

cheers,

Angelica

Hi Angelica,

Can you post the definition to have a look at it?

Cheers

Evert
thanks Evert I will post my complete question and the grasshopper definition in a new discussion I really apreciate if you could help me
Use a flip curve component on curves that are going the "wrong" direction... also you can flip curves using a guide curve so all curves follow the same direction...
Hi Marc,

I am posting the new question about this same topic in a new discussion,

Than you very much
Hi Everyone, (COPY OF THE NEW DISCUSSION)

Thank you very much for all answers I have received, I am developing a project to work with my grasshopper definition. I have been trying to follow a curve rather than a straight line and another curve,

I mean I need 1 simple curve flowing an existing wall, and another curve with basic functions as sin and cos and elements between them. but more than it, if it is possible to create an script, which allow me to create this following a surface.

I have create some scripts with straight lines but I would like to have smooth curved walls.

Than you very much for your help,

Please find the attached files, grasshopper definition and ideas.
