what is it that went wrong?

What you have posted works as expected, provided you supply a curve that has some Height in the Z axis

It is the Contour component says ' Contour distance must be larger than the document absolute tolerance"

It would suggest you are suppling a very small curve

As I suspected above:

provided you supply a curve that has some Height in the Z axis

[Contour]'s Normal direction is Z therefore if you have drawn a curve in the XY Plane i.e. Top View then it will not work.

Hi Danny ,I have another problem ,I am trying to make the structure in the picture but I don't know how to change the height of the structure .

Is it not based solely on your referenced curve?

Therefore a [Scale] would give you a degree of control
