algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Off the top of my head I know it will say this if you try to get the Revit family information (double-click on the component) with the Lyrebird server in Revit in the Off position.
If that's not what you're experiencing, what are you doing when you get the error?
I would get that if i was trying to double click on a Lyrebird component with two revit sessions open at the same time and Lyrebird server enabled in both.
I just have one sesion open and the server is on...
What are you doing when you get the error?
Nothing, I cannot generate any sort of geometry and the tab with the error continues popping up forever
So you're getting the error when you try to send the data from GH to Revit is that right?
What kind of creation are you trying to do? Origin point based, adaptive component, or curve based?
Can you upload any stripped down files that show can demonstrate the error?
Walls, curve based. I´ve tried with a simple definition before and it worked but now I embeded the LBOut component into a more complex code and it doesn´t work. If i´m not wrong it should work with lines or line-like curves (I´m not using polylines). And I also know that the inputs must be grafted and the heigh in cas you ar using the "unconnected height" parameter should be duplicated and grafted (same thing for the vectors)...
The error itself just means that it's expecting to have a value for something and doesn't. If it's during creating it's either failing to find a value that was send via Grasshopper, or perhaps it's failing to find the Revit family/type. Perhaps you're working with a different file than originally set or the file's been purged since the family/type was set.
It should work with anything that's a straight line or a circular arc. If any of the curves you feed it are splines they will fail because Revit can't create a wall using a spline or ellipse.
Beyond that I'm not sure what the error you're running into is. Again, if you have a sample that fails that you can upload, or if you're more comfortable emailing me a copy of it I can try to trouble shoot the issue.
Uf, i internalised the data (the origin curves) to send you the gh file and now it works, but not if i don´t. I´ll check it out carefully to find out where is the mistake...
Again, now with another example I´m trying to insert windows in a façade and it prompts the same txt error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". in this case, if I accept it draws the window but it prompts the error txt for every single window it creates, and there are a lot...
