algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello grasshoppers,
I'm student of architecture and I'm new here. For my current project I need a folded plane witch is subdivided into equilateral triangles, as you can see at the image attached.
I've been searching through the world wide web until I arrived here and also serched for the soluton for my problem, but I haven't found the right fing, until yet.
I hope there's anybody out there, woh can help me! I'm looking forward to here from you soon.

Ah, right.
I create a script by myself, which seems to be the thing I'm looking for. However the triangles aren't still exactly equilateral. Their size (either they look more or less like equilateral triangles) depent on the numberslider in the gh-file. (The red group in the file)
The other group (the viloet one) creates a mesh with equilateral triangles, but more then i need (I just want one, and there are 6 in this case and I can'T get less than four)
Furthermore I can't transform the triangles from the violet group to be look like a croumpled peace of paper - and that's what I want
Have you actually run the relaxation? (by double clicking the kangaroo component and pressing play)
If that's still not working, please post the files you're working with and I'll take a look
Oh now I havn't, sorry! Now, I've tried it and ist works brilliant! Now I have real good croumpled paper, thank you!
But one more question: Do I have any influence on this shape? The idea is, to cover a large are with this "paper" and use it like a roof, you know what I mean? But with the result in my case I can't cover anything.
I am having the same issue as C.Render. The plugin is running fine, but I'd like to create more volumetric shapes, rather than just an undulated surface. I tried using a sphere as the input surface, and the result is extremely crumpled and folded in on itself (see image below). I think the issue is that it always maintains 6 triangles around each vertex, and in order to more smoothly create a rounded surface (such as a sphere) it would need to have 5 triangles around some vertices. Is there any way to make that happen?

Hello,
I'm a designer, new to Grasshopper. I need to solve a problem and I don't have enough time to properly learn the software. I need to create a wavy surface, made of equilateral triangles. Can do the surface, and transform it into triangles with Lunch Box's panels, but I don't know how to get the triangles to stay equilateral. Would anyone please share the whole definition of this geometry? I can't figure out, what params are used on the left, before the Kangaroo (in the picture above, Daniel Piker's post). In other words, I don't know what to feed the Kangaroo with. I would appreciate an example, please.
