algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Forgive the newbie question. I have been researching for a while and can't seem to get to what i need. I have a lofted surface (see attached) with a vertical orientation in the Z axis. I have generated a voronoi pattern using a grasshopper component. I've also baked this pattern to a collection of polylines. What i'd like to do is project this collection of curves unto the lofted surface. As a subset question, i also want to trim the surface using the voronoi pattern to create "windows" on my wall. How can i achieve this?
I am aware of the project curve unto brep component but can't seem to make it work.
thanks!

Hi Omar
I think the component your looking for is 'Map to Surface' Component to map your flat crvs onto your lofted surfaces. Then to create your openings try using 'Item' Compment to select the crvs on the surface you want to cut with then use look at 'Split Srf' Component to split you Lofted surface then use a Look at 'Cull index' Component to remove the surface you want to delete from the list of surfaces output from the Split Surface Component.
Hope this helps
Matt
If I remember right, T Input is the surface you want to map the curves onto. No need to extract data from the surface just plug it in.
First think to try is flatten you Curves go into the Map to Surface component is it still fails try to make the base Surface from a Planar surface using the rectangle you used to create the boundary on your Voronoi Curves and plug this into the S input on the Map to Surf. I am guessing the T input is your Lofted Surface already.
No idea why but Planar Srf in GH is called Boundary Srf
