Thank you for the reply Christian.
Would you mind sharing the definition, when your project/thesis is completed?
Thank you for the reply.
But what did you take as an aim (fitness) for the Galapagos?
sorry for putting all the videos online without explanation.. I want to release my blog soon where the projects are explained - but I still have some issues at the moment.
to give it a brief explanation:
its a quite simple setup inputs for Galapagos are the center points of the big triangles the are moved within a certain range, the global geometry is not subject to change because its determined by other factors.
the result is evaluated towards 39 sun vectors (13 vecors of jan, feb march each) because its was the aim to increase sun penetration the period with lover sun angels.
self-occlusion of the panels, occlusion of the supporting structure and occlusion of the surrounding buildings are also considered.
a certain percentage of the sub-triangles with the best rates are determined as openings (yellow) and the the other are closed panels (gray)
Looks very, very interesting.
Christian can you explain it a little bit please?
Gapalagos is editing an angle of the triangular covering opening according to solar irradiation?
What did you take as the aim for Galapagos?
sure! thank you for the kind words..
fantastic job, congrats ,it would be an honor if you accept my request for friendship ,I'm quite interested in creating envelopes using parametric design and acclimatizing it ! therefore we share the same concerns.
