Space cows

In this animation I have tried to solve an old high school problem - if we tie a cow to a edge of a rectangle shaped meadow, how long should the rope be to have the meadow half eaten up?
I have put the cow into space and let her eat parts of a box. The white cow is just for the black one not to be alone in space. At the end, when the solution is done, they join into one. Sorry for the bad cow graphics.
The movie is time lapsed since the process takes a very long time.
