Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Many times after I develope a great Grasshopper script, I can't share it because people can be intimidated to use the mess of wires and batteries or the controls seem to complex. However, using PyQT I built an example remote control that exports a JSON file which can be used for real time input in Grasshopper.

The grasshopper part does use RhinoPython to read the file and create the outputs. It's very simple however. The remote control itself just uses standard c python with PyQT. PyQT is a GUI library that makes its relatively easy to build user interfaces.

If you go to my blog, I have a post that talks about it and you can download the files. Www.ryangathmann.com
