Yes. Basically is an optimization problem using a genetic algorithm. It generate a population of structures based on random parameters, calculate each of them with SAP2000 from VB script, collect the result and generate a new population based on the best performer, repeated until it converge. The structural model is built using shell elements modified to take account of the holes. The fitness parameter is the maximum displacement. I did all with VB script in GH, I know now it is easier using Galapagos.
