Fred: Glad you asked about trim. I just spend all day yesterday building that script, but the video you are looking at was just a test of graphing local righting energy. Also, I'm getting too many errors in finding displacement (as you can see in the video, which makes your hoopsnake script look very appealing). I think has to do with solid booleon failing (another issue i'd like to post about).
How would you use a nested loop? I haven't played with hoopsnake yet. But I think i'll start!
Nice! I have a question : do you take trim (longitudinal rhighting) into consideration? I can't see clearly what's going on in your video.
Did you check my attempt with hoopsnake? I'm just waiting the nested loop feature that yannis must be cooking. Or I could script the whole thing but but it'll take time..
