Hoopwalk is an explainatory video showing the possibilities of combining hoopsnake and shortestwalk in Grasshopper. It is build around a basic setup that will show you the power of these two components.

Hi Sander,
It is a very interesting and promising experiment! Can I kindly request the gh file please? Because the link above becomes invalid.
Many thanks for your sharing and help!
LOL did not realize that... nice find :)
Hey! You've replicated the old windows pipe-maze screensaver!!! :D Niceeeeee!
Thank you Michael.
djorge, data recorder is one way, or hoopsnake, culling the used point before the data is ran again.
Very interesting Sander!!
How did you achieve ability of definition to recognize when a point has been used twice?
I see. Thank you for the clarification Sander..
Hi Marios,
Hidden in the video is a set of possible lines, the paths, which are a basic grid without diagonal lines. Just horizontal and vertical movement. The experiment can be redone easily with a different set of possible path ie. diagonal lines.
The purpose of the file is mainly to show some of the possibilities combining hoopsnake with other scripts. In this case by eliminating options within every iteration.
Hi Sanders,
Really interesting experiment! So you basically avoid self intersection and colliding paths by only using each point of the grid just once, hoopsnake facilitated? I fail to notice the use of minimal path here? Is it to avoid diagonal lines? Could you please elaborate?
