it is buenos aires downtown & harbour,

2d infrastructural data from openstreetmaps.org, according 3d model grabbed from my graphics card.

a proximity network of the most important points is relaxed onto a single, draped (for performance) mesh of the site to make the drones land correctly between the houses etc ..

the animation itself is playing around with probabilities to not make the drones collide.

i captured it two times, once just the grasshopper preview of the meshes, second time the zBuffer. Then merge them in afterEffects.
