The project is sort of on and off going right now, it's been a while since I last put my hands on it. I'll be resuming it soon (hopefully) and might send the component to the ones interested. Will let you know as soon as I have some good news.

Sure, here is the link to Stam's paper I have been reading through for the implementation.
I do think of putting out a plug-in some day (hopefully soon), although I would like it to be really stable before releasing something that would rather harm than help.
