Hey Chapulin

It's been a while since I actually did this animation , but as far as I'm aware, the crux of the method relied on a geometry wrapper + isosurfacer (both millipede components) for the creation. Python was used to generate the curve geometry which was in a constant state of flux, and was essentially a series of uncontrolled rotations and traonsforms...

Definitely have a look into millipede - great component.

Furthermore, understanding data structures (in my mind at least) is the key to being proficient with grasshopper. Best of luck! And feel to free to reach out if you're struggling!

Hi Daniel,

saw some of your tutorials in yt. I like them especially cause they show data(pathmapper etc) manipulation in examples. I already begun with some of jakes tutorials and downloaded a while ago millipede but newer got a closer look onto.

Would you mind explain a few steps of what you did here? Or also i read you asked on yt if somebody had a wish for a tutorial;)

thanks, for all the yt stuff you made, very apreciated!

Hi Igor! I found a great set of videos specifically for python within grasshopper on youtube by a guy called Jake Hebbert. Here's a playlist of his first set.

Also, stackoverflow is a great resource for troubleshooting script problems in python. You can find almost any solution on there!

Hope it helps! I found it pretty tough as well to figure out how to learn to python.

How did you start with python?

Salute!
