When I compared the rod bending curve from Kangaroo with the traced saw blade

I found that the springs needed to be really stiff in order to get the correct shape of the curve.

I think for something more like paper the spring stiffness needs to be quite high relative to the hinge stiffness, as otherwise it seems to bend in plane quite a lot
