workshop by UTDA(TUniversity of Tokyo Department of Architecture) and GSAPP(Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation) was held between 2010/8/9 to 2010//8/25.
This workshop is aimed to study "Computational Design" and "Digital Fabrication" then finally built "Tea House"
About 25 students joined this workshop including 10 from GSAPP.
8 lectures for Rhinoceros and Grasshopper was applied to Tokyo University Architectural Department from May before this workshop. They started Rhino and Grasshopper from scratch since they had no experience with those application software.
Following three type of "Tea house" were built and exhibited on August 25th and disassembled after 3 PM at this day. "Tea ceremony" was held to all students joined this workshop to appreciate their effort by "Urasenke" people right before those "Tea house" disappear, It might be true concept of "Ichi-go ichi-e".
