Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

new release of Millipede is now available:

new features include:

1. support for reparameterization of surfaces and the ability to produce vector field aligned patterns over any mesh. Works well with principal stress results from the structural analysis module

2. eigen mode analysis and filtering for mesh deformation and reconstruction.

3. multiple load cases and multi-loadcase optimization is now supported

4. documentation is now extended and includes scripting samples using millipede [you can build the whole analysis system in C# and have much better control over the structural system]

This is very exciting. I want to thank you for the continued development of millipede. I also want to thank so many other people who have shared all these remarkable tools. I installed the newest version and it is working except I notice two issues.

1. the icons in the parameterization tab are all the same - unlike the icons shown in the manual

2. it still has a pop up stating millipede has expired and to download a new version

I also want to mention that it might be helpful to name your mesh tool something other than mesh since it conflicts with the default mesh component in GH (when typing the word mesh in the canvas) and might cause some minor confusion with new users. I think there should really be a documentary made on you guys, daniel piker, giulio piacentino, david rutten, and many others. All this sharing has fostered a diverse community and the continued growth serves as a true representation of emergence. Needless to say this has made for a very unique moment in computation and design. I for one am inspired by the things you guys know and it makes me want to learn all the time and figure out how to apply this rich and new information. I am also really fascinated in how you all keep giving this information away and to hear about what motivates you all to continue these serious endeavors. I know this could be such a great story. I also know each of you must be odd and unusual characters.  Anyways thanks

Wow thanks, Millipede is one of my favorites. The c# thing is wonderful. Thank you again

I really like the plugin, looking forward to test the new features (specially analysis in C#) ...also hoping you decided to remove the custom component and wire design.
