Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

new release of Millipede is now available:

new features include:

1. support for reparameterization of surfaces and the ability to produce vector field aligned patterns over any mesh. Works well with principal stress results from the structural analysis module

2. eigen mode analysis and filtering for mesh deformation and reconstruction.

3. multiple load cases and multi-loadcase optimization is now supported

4. documentation is now extended and includes scripting samples using millipede [you can build the whole analysis system in C# and have much better control over the structural system]

Is it possible to run Millipede on OS X ?

Comment by Kim hauer on March 14, 2015 at 3:56pm

The mysteries of installing the latest version of Millipede are still unfriendly and unresolved. The Installation  does not appear to follow the conventional Rhino approach. It reminds me of using Windows Vista :(

The Millipede menu only appears after quitting Rhino and restarting. Only to be told this version

does not work, get a newer version....... arrrrgggghhhhhh! ...frustration!...frustration!

There is no newer version, I just got the lasted version today! 2015.03.14

Suggestion: When I make scripts for SketchUp, I always make a U-tube-vid covering install and how to use. :) cheers!

Hi, I'm doing work on grasshopper with millipede, I need to make a concrete slab, wanna know how to give thickness to the concrete. When I make a mesh and give thick millipede deformations are straight and not thick load.
Can someone help

Thank you

Rhino said: could not load file or assembly 'Sawapan Statica, Version=1.0.0.0 ..." or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

:) Hehehe, interesting discussion, but as far as David allows us to change themes I think that is pretty right to use that option to experiment with new kinds of visualizations and UI... If the "main" designer decide to open the UI design tools, why not to use them?

Oh well, the plugin features make up for it.

I'm not saying the design is bad, but I think consistency is one of the more important aspects of an effective UI.

sorry Vicente, no such option, the designer in me wouldn't allow it :)

Comment by Vicente Soler on March 23, 2014 at 4:31pm

...and with an option to disable the custom theme?

thanks machinehistories,

accidentally uploaded the October version. The March version is now on the site with all the reparameterization features.

best,
