algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Could be interesting to see this combined with Stasiuk's Cocoon in a 3D-print case-story (Arthur?)
Would it be possible to get a short description of the 'negative influence'=How to make the metaballs behave in a way where it does the opposite than attract each other? (David?)

Hi Tim...I'm not quite sure what you mean exactly? If you mean how the negative charges work...basically, they affect the sample grid within their radius of influence by reducing the field value according to a distance function the same way that a positive charge increases the field value. So negative charges pretty much create depressions or punch holes...positive charges on the left, negative on the right:
