HELP Complex surface !!!

Hello everyone!

SO im super new to Grasshopper (although i have some knowledge with Rhino) and as part of an assessment i have to make this image in grasshopper/rhino (can be evolved etc). Ive been playing around and thought it'd be great to get some feedback from some more useful and knowledgable folks that KNOW the program. And maybe enlighten me on how I can go about this? 

Like for me the intertwining segment is probably the trickiest bit!
